We had a wonderful experience with Savona Kitchen, especially Ty Onar who worked with us from the beginning of the project to the end. He was extremely meticulous and made sure everything was completed on time. He helped us in every way possible from designing the cabinets to picking the cabinet knobs and making sure everything was done to perfection. His workers were always on time. He returned every call and text promptly and we are very grateful to him for completing a project that we were very nervous about since it involved remodeling the entire kitchen. Ty was very patient and receptive to changes in design and was never pushy. He was very easy to work with. We have already shared his number with many of our friends and highly recommend Ty of Savona Kitchen and bath.

There was a slight delay in receiving the order. The faucet design is faulty as some water remains on top flat surface and leaves a stain(water mark).

Where can I see countertops in person near me in New Jersey?
At the Savona Kitchen & Bath showroom at 361 US-22 in Green Brook, NJ. Seeing a countertop in person matters more than almost any other material, because veining, color, and finish can look very different under real light than they do on a screen. The showroom is open Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm. See the Green Brook showroom page for directions, or review the full Savona service area.
Which countertop material is best for a kitchen?
It depends on how you cook, how much upkeep you want, and the look you are after. Quartz is the low-maintenance choice for busy kitchens. Granite is durable and heat-tolerant with natural variation in every slab. Marble gives the softest, most classic look but needs the most care. Quartzite offers the look of marble with more hardness. Our guide to the best countertop materials for a kitchen compares them side by side, and the showroom lets you compare real samples.
What is the difference between quartz and quartzite?
The names are similar but the materials are not. Quartz countertops are engineered from crushed quartz bound with resin, so the color is consistent and the surface is non-porous and does not need sealing. Quartzite is a natural stone, so every slab is unique. It is very hard, but it is porous and is usually sealed. Quartz is also less tolerant of direct high heat, so trivets are recommended.
Is marble a good choice for kitchen countertops?
Marble is a good choice if you love its look and accept that it will age. It is softer than granite or quartzite, and acids such as lemon juice, wine, or vinegar can etch the surface, so it needs sealing and prompt cleanup. Many homeowners use it on an island or a baking area and choose a harder surface elsewhere. Read whether marble countertops are the right choice and the marble vs. quartzite comparison, or see marble countertops.
Is granite still a good countertop choice?
Yes. Granite is one of the most durable natural stones for a kitchen: it handles heat well, resists scratches, and every slab has its own pattern. It is porous, so it is sealed to help it resist stains. Current granite options go well beyond the speckled look many people remember, including leathered and honed finishes. See granite countertops for examples.
How much do new countertops cost in NJ?
Countertop cost depends on the material and slab you choose, the total square footage, the edge profile, the number of cutouts for sinks and cooktops, any backsplash in the same material, and the condition of the existing countertops and cabinets. Our guides to quartz countertop cost in NJ and granite countertop cost in NJ explain typical ranges. For a price on your own kitchen or bathroom, request an estimate with a few photos and rough measurements.
Which countertop brands does Savona work with?
Savona works with Cambria, LX Hausys, and MSI Surfaces, alongside natural granite, marble, and quartzite. Each brand has its own color range, finishes, and warranty, and the team can help you compare them against your cabinets, flooring, and budget.
How do I choose a countertop color for my cabinets?
Start with the elements you are keeping, such as cabinets, flooring, or backsplash, and choose a countertop that either contrasts with them or quietly matches them. Bringing a cabinet door or a photo of your kitchen to the showroom makes this much easier. For ideas, see countertop colors for white cabinets and countertop colors for dark cabinets.
What countertop edge profiles can I choose from?
Common profiles include eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, and mitered edges. A simple eased edge suits modern kitchens and is easy to keep clean, while decorative profiles such as ogee suit traditional designs. The edge also affects cost and how thick the countertop looks. See our guide to countertop edge types.
Can I get a countertop estimate before visiting the showroom?
Yes. You can request a countertop estimate online and upload photos, measurements, or project files if you have them. This gives the team a better starting point before your consultation. A showroom visit is still recommended before you choose a slab, because color and pattern can look very different in person.
Can Savona help me choose countertops for a kitchen or bathroom remodel?
Yes. Countertops are usually chosen together with cabinets, vanities, backsplash, and fixtures, and Savona can help you plan them as one design. See kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and bathroom vanities for what a full project can include.
Should I book an appointment or just walk into the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking a time is better if you want focused help comparing materials, colors, and pricing for your project. You can book a showroom appointment for an in-store consultation at the Green Brook showroom.
What should I bring to a countertop consultation?
Bring photos of your kitchen or bathroom, rough measurements or a simple sketch of the countertop runs, a cabinet door or paint sample if you are keeping them, the sink and cooktop you plan to use, and a general budget range. Inspiration photos help too. Together these let the team suggest materials and give you a realistic estimate faster.
Can I see completed countertop projects before I decide?
Yes. Looking at finished kitchens helps you see how a material and color work with real cabinets, lighting, and flooring. You can browse completed countertop projects before your consultation, then discuss which ideas fit your own space and budget.
